What’s a Host-Site?

Good Food Boxes are available to order and pick up from about 30 locations we call Host-Sites. Host-Sites consist of community agencies, rent-geared-to-income buildings, individual homes, as well as some First Nations and small communities in the Thunder Bay area. By delivering Good Food to neighbourhoods across the city, we can improve access to healthy produce for those living with mobility issues or limited access to transportation.

Some Host-Sites are open to the general public, like the Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre, whereas others serve as a GFB order/pick-up hub for their residents, clients, or members only. Pre-pandemic there were 40+ GFB Host-Sites on our roster. At the moment, some Host-Sites remain closed or are operating differently. Please call or email the Host-Site directly to learn how they operate before visiting. View or download our latest brochure with Host-Site details.

Unless a holiday falls within the same week, the Good Food Box pick up is on the third Wednesday of the month, and the order deadline for customers is the Monday of the week prior. View the 2023 order and pick up dates here.
