We love our volunteers!

Did you know that the Thunder Bay Good Food Box Program is not just a volunteer-supported program? It’s a VOLUNTEER-POWERED program that has kept food security in our hands since 2005!

Our Good Food Box Program continues to exist and operate successfully because of the many dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who make up our residential host-site coordinators, our pack day crew and delivery drivers, and our advisory board members and newsletter contributors. We absolutely could not do it without our wonderful community of volunteers. We are grateful for their time, energy, skills–and good humour!

In fact, today is Pack Day, which means about 50 volunteers–diverse in age and backgrounds–are working hard right now to pack the April boxes. This month they’re packing 470 Good Food Boxes for delivery to host-sites across Thunder Bay, as well as to surrounding communities and participating First Nations!
