Local Chefs Share Good Food Recipes
We’ve teamed up with Metis Nation to offer online cooking sessions. Each month we gather online to cook a great recipe together. Each recipe is provided by a different local chef from some of our favourite local eateries. Upcoming sessions: Thursday April 22, Thursday May 27 and Thursday June 24.

Send us your favourite comfort food recipes!
We are assembling a Good Comfort Food recipe collection! So, we are asking for your favourite comfort food recipes to include! Soups, stews, pies… whatever meal brings you comfort on a rainy day. Recipes can be sweet or savory, but should feature at least one fruit or vegetable. If your recipe is from a book, please include the title and the author. All entries go into a draw for one of the Good Food Box Program’s amazing 15th anniversary “lettuce celerybrate” t-shirts. Surveys are here
Once every 2 years, the Good Food Box Program asks that all customers, volunteers and host-site coordinators fill out a brief survey about their experience with the Program. Volunteer surveys will go out January; customer and host-site surveys were distributed in February. The surveys are anonymous – please take a few minutes to fill it out. The information gathered is very important, so we can correctly report to our funders, as well as to help us better understand our customers’ needs, so that we can continue to improve the program!
